Here at Protec Security and Electrical I am constantly on the lookout for new electrical products that can make our life both easier and more enjoyable. The electrical industry is constantly evolving and new advancements are happening so frequently it can be hard to keep up. I personally find the best way to approach this is to dive in and purchase new products to ensure I know them inside/out and are ready to let all our customers know of the features of each when asked.
One of my favourite products released recently for the Perth electrical market is the SAL Pixie range. To be fair this has been around for a couple of years now but is still evolving from when I first looked into these products. The devices require a qualified electrician to install in perth and also to be a registered electrical contractor as they are changes to your electrical installation. The SAL Pixie dimmers and switches replace your standard Clipsal C2000 or 2000 series light switches. These are also the same frame as Legrand, Deta and some others. The switch mech itself has bluetooth capabilities meaning you can control your lighting using your phone on the SAL phone application. The real fun comes when paired with the SAL Pixie gateway. This device does not require a Perth Electrician however this may be the best place to source one. Once you have your new device you can pair the SAL dimmers and switches to the gateway to give you WiFi control as well as bluetooth. This means your lights are now compatible with Google Home, Amazon Alexa and best of all (for Apple users) Siri!.
You can even create your own phrases to create ‘scenes’ for your home using Siri, Google Home and Alexa. Best of all you don’t need to pay an electrician in Perth to change your light fittings over to a Wifi capable fitting, it is all done at the light switch.
